Kirk Hamilton Allen

Our beloved sweet Kirk Hamilton Allen, 18, of Sammamish, went to the Lord on Jan. 27, 2013.

He is survived by mother Gretchen Allen and brother Bryant Allen, of Sammamish; father John Allen of Richland; aunt Wendy Allen, of Danville, Calif.; and Mark Christian and family, of Sacramento.

Kirk was loved by many, including nieces, nephews, friends, close-confidant mentor Al Gasak and our little Dachshund Duke.

Kirk graduated from Eastlake High School in 2012 and most recently worked at Costco Warehouse, Issaquah, alongside his brother Bryant. He enjoyed playing football, downhill biking, snow boarding, fly-fishing, video gaming and working out at the gym. His passions were staying fit and writing music lyrics.

He often would seek out family time and wanted to gather everyone together to catch up on the latest happenings. Kirk was a true outdoorsman and often spoke about his favorite vacations destinations, Lake Tahoe and Whistler.

He was predeceased by his grandmother and grandfather Mavis and Walter Melnick; grandmother and grandfather Bill and Lois Allen; aunt and uncle Leo and Beverly Chapado; and great-grandmother O’Lena Anderson.

His ashes will be spread high atop Whistler, where he lived his fondest family times and enjoyed many recreational memories.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Feb. 8 at Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church, 22818 S.E. Eighth St., Sammamish. Flowers may be received the same day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Donations can be made to Banner Bank, Kirkland branch, for the benefit of Kirk Hamilton Allen to support teens and families dealing with mental health issues.
