Bobby T. Dean, 73, of Sammamish, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in the arms of his loving companion and life partner of more than 21 years, Miriam Kriskovich, and surrounded by his children.

He was born April 23, 1939 in Chester, Va., the son of Dorothy and Elvin Dean. Bobby was a star high school basketball player and a lifelong sports enthusiast. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in business, Bob went on to work for Reynolds Metals Co. for 39 years, and then Commonwealth Aluminum and Kaiser for a total of 50 years in the industry.

In retirement, he enjoyed wintering in Arizona on the Westbrook Golf Course. He was a vital member of the Congregational Church of Sun City. Bob spent the remainder of the year at his home in Sammamish, working on vintage cars and spending time with family and friends.

Bobby is survived by his daughters Shelley Logan, of Snohomish, and Sharon Rosengreen, of Federal Way; sons Steven Dean and Shawen Dean, of Sammamish; and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at Flintoft’s Funeral Home, 540 E. Sunset Way, in Issaquah, at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013.
