Patricia Ann Lambe, née Job, of Issaquah, died of pneumonia on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Swedish/Issaquah surrounded by family.
She was born Dec. 26, 1927, in the Bronx, New York. She was a student at Cathedral High School in the Bronx, and attended nursing school at St. Vincent’s in New York City.

On Sept. 25, 1951, she married the young physicist John Joseph Lambe. Together they had two children, James Patrick and Mary Elizabeth.
Patricia and John journeyed west through Washington, D.C.; Birmingham, Mich.; Altadena, Calif.; and finally Sammamish.
She was educated, articulate and complex. She read voraciously, loved birding, gardening and political debate, and was both feisty and devoted to her husband and family. She remained a New Yorker all of her life.
Patricia and her husband fell in love when they met in the midst of a New York beach party. That love never changed. Patricia is survived by her grieving husband, their children, nine grandchildren and a great-grandson.

A wake will be held at Fernhill Farm July 5 at 6 p.m. Graveside services will be July 6 at 1 p.m. at Lower Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah.
